Terms of service
Last updated: 11 May 2026
1. Who we are
Resonance is operated by [LEGAL ENTITY — TO BE CONFIRMED] ("we", "us", "our"). You can reach us at nick@joinresonance.co.uk.
2. What Resonance is
Resonance is an invitation-only platform that helps residents in the Olympic Park area (E20, London) coordinate demand for local services. Members express interest in services, pre-commit to using them, and vote on supplier bids. A service only launches if a pool votes to accept a bid from a supplier.
3. Eligibility
To create an account you must:
- Have received a valid invite from an existing member or the Resonance team
- Provide a postcode within our service area (E20 and nearby postcodes)
We check that the postcode you provide falls within our service area. We do not independently verify that you reside there.
4. Expressing interest
Joining a pool means you want a service to exist nearby. It is not a commitment to purchase. You can withdraw your interest at any time before a pool moves to pre-commitment.
5. Pre-commitment
When a pool advances to pre-commitment, you may authorise a card payment up to a maximum amount. This is a reservation — your card is authorised but not charged at this point.
Your card is only charged if you vote to accept a supplier bid and the pool as a whole votes to accept it. If you do not vote within the voting window (5 days), your authorisation is released and you are not charged.
Card authorisations expire after 7 days. Pool voting must complete within that window.
6. Voting
Each member gets one vote per pool (yes or no). If a pool votes to accept a supplier bid, payment is captured for the agreed amount — which may be less than the authorised maximum. If the pool votes no, all authorisations are released and no one is charged.
7. Refunds
If a supplier cancels a confirmed service after payment has been captured, we will refund you in full within 48 hours. No exceptions.
8. No guarantee of service
Joining a pool or pre-committing does not guarantee that a service will launch. Pools may close if insufficient interest is generated or no suitable supplier bid is received. We will always notify you personally if a pool closes.
9. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Create multiple accounts
- Provide a postcode you do not live at or near
- Attempt to manipulate pool membership or voting
- Use the platform for any unlawful purpose
10. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by email before they take effect.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
